A nod to the classic Mexican Baja jacket, Kapital’s Fringe Baja Parka in black fuses laid-back comfort with an artisanal, rugged edge. Made from 100% cotton, this oversized piece is crafted from fleece-lined sweatshirt material, offering a soft, cozy feel with ample warmth. The silhouette exudes that iconic relaxed Baja vibe, while Kapital’s signature raw, brushed cut-off details on the cuffs, sleeves, and pockets add a uniquely unfinished, hand-stitched touch.

The deep hood and kangaroo pocket enhance its functional roots, reminiscent of the practical, easygoing style of the original Baja jacket. Whether you’re layering it for warmth or wearing it as a standout statement piece, the Kapital Fringe Baja Parka effortlessly blends bohemian sensibilities with modern-day utility—perfect for those seeking style that’s equal parts rugged and refined.

Kapital, founded in the mid 80s by the late Toshikiyo Hirata in Kojima, Japan, began as a denim factory inspired by his love for mid-century American jeans, discovered while teaching karate in the USA. Upon returning to Japan, Hirata immersed himself in the denim industry, aiming to replicate high-quality American-made denim. In 2002, his son Kiro, after studying art in the USA and working for 45R—a renowned Japanese denim brand—joined the family business. Kiro’s avant-garde design sensibility blended with his father’s traditional craftsmanship, with Kiro focusing on design and marketing while Toshikiyo handled production. This father-son collaboration transformed Kapital into a renowned brand that merges streetwear, luxury, and heritage through a Japanese lens.
